CAMACHO

From the beginning, Camacho cigars have stood for intense pleasure unleashed. These are badass everyday smokes. Full-coloured, all-American in style, these cigars effortlessly deliver full-frontal, all-out flavour – flavour amped up to heights that old-school cigars have never dared climb. If Camacho had a soundtrack it would be loud, loud enough to wake the neighbours and make big dogs howl. We figure, if you’re gonna have a cigar, have a DAMN cigar!

CAMACHO ECUADOR

The Camacho Ecuador features a Cuban seed wrapper, Brazilian Mata Fina binder which is protecting the Honduran and Dominican Pelo de Oro ligero filler leaves.

From the start, I was super excited for this cigar. The binder looks cool, just like all Camacho’s. The tube looks eye catching, it really deserves some respect. The condition was a bit poor in my opinion. A bit veiny and not to the standards of Camacho usually bring to the table, which shocked me a smidge. I gave this a punch cut. The lighting was fine, the first few puffs went well. The flavour was usual but lovely. A real earthy spice I’ve never experienced before. A real strong and sporting cigar that feels good in the hand. The cap was weak though and split when cut, which broke my heart, especially for the price. The burn was also very uneven, but I always power on. Regardless of these faults, the flavours stayed relatively simple but very powerful in flavour. Strong earth, heavy spice and sense of cedar and orange, which I’m not sure where that came from. It’s a nice cigar if you get a well made one, perhaps I’m unlucky. Does this hold a candle to the Corojo? Or the Connecticut? I’m my opinion, no. But on its own merits, it stands out as a good cigar well worth a try, but I doubt I’ll keep a stash of these in my Humidor. But the experience for a new Camacho brand that’s so hard to find in The UK was well worth the smoke.
