Hi everyone, I’m back again with another weekly blog! I hope you enjoy reading what I get up to on a weekly basis, after all there’s never a dull day when working at Turmeaus!

On Monday, we had plenty of online orders to keep us all busy for the whole day! But we couldn’t stop there as our shop was also extremely busy! Firstly I had a customer who enjoyed a Mitchellero Peru Petit Robusto, as he was going on holiday he decided he needed some longer smokes so decided to go for a box of Toros instead! Quite an upgrade but I’m sure he will enjoy them. I then had someone who wanted cigars for his friends wedding but didn’t want to spend much as they don’t smoke regularly – That’s where a box of Mitchellero Robusto comes in handy! A great size cigar for a bargain price… and they’re a great smoke too! There was also a gentleman who had seen the Youtube short of me talking about my favourite cigar (The Alec Bradley Orchant Seleccion Skinny) on the C.Gars channel and wanted to try one for himself, he trusted my judgement so much that he purchased a whole box!

On Tuesday I concentrated on researching and writing my article for the C.Gars Cigar Library, it was all about the benefits of enjoying cigars, which you can read here. I’m tired of people saying how smoking is a bad habit so I decided to explain why it can be good for you! We also received the delivery of the new limited edition from Davidoff – the Aniversario No. 1! We have been excited to see these incredible Double Coronas which i’m sure will be an amazing smoke to brighten your day!

Wednesday was my usual day off but I surprised many of my colleagues by popping into the shop, not as an employee but as a customer! I took my wife into the store as she wanted to get her cousin a couple of cigars as a wedding gift. She always wanted to see where I worked but has never had the opportunity to. She was amazed with all the spirits and pipes we had! In the end we purchased a Mitchellero Peru Robusto Extra and an Inka Red Cristales.

On Thursday I spent some time in both humidors giving them a bit of a clean and a stock up. Everyone underestimates this part of the job and how time consuming it can be, after all we are handling an expensive premium product that we must have the utmost respect for. Afterwards I was requested to create a cigar sampler, I decided to choose cigars that you don’t see too often to try to get the name out there and put it alongside a popular yet similar cigar. It’s called the Savour the Flavour sampler and it includes the Eiroa First 20 years Prensado, CLE Signature Robusto and the ever so popular Aladino Corojo Corona! There is only 10 of these in stock and once they’re gone it won’t be coming back so click here to get yours now!

On Friday, after the usual order picking I started creating more Youtube short videos for our content creator Lewis to put on Youtube! In the afternoon, it was the usual stock take but this time I was doing it with Courtney who you will see a lot more of soon! This was her first time counting the Cuban cigars but she did a good job and now she will be part of the weekly rotation.

On Saturday we received delivery of some walkie talkies! (Boys and their toys ). You will see us using these a lot more to help fast track our operations and help your in store experience be as smooth as possible! I also spent more time stocking up the shop to get as many products available for you all to see!

I hope you have enjoyed this week’s blog and I hope to see you all in store very soon!

So long for now

Good morning everyone, my apologies for my recent absence. I’ve been on a break, and this blog post will be a little different. It’s a compilation of the highlights of events at the Norfolk store on the days that I was present.

As always I have been writing articles for the C.Gars cigar library. Since my last blog, I have written about My Father Cigars, Our new LCDH store and Puffin Rooms in Edinburgh, and The Mash Tun in Aberlour which is an amazing whisky bar! And this week I wrote about what to do if you have an over-humidified cigar. You can view all of these articles and more here.

We have also had a full building stock take which we do every quarter on top of the usual stock takes I talk about. Stock takes used to take everyone a few days to complete but recently we have been completing them in less than a day! It all comes down to teamwork and seeing who needs help the most.

I have also created November’s New World Subscription box which is worth over £111 but all you pay is £74.99! A massive bargain if you ask me so click here to purchase yours today!

In the Norfolk shop, we have also created a raffle to win a Christmas hamper worth over £200! It is £1 a ticket so next time you are in Norfolk pop in just to get your ticket!

Sharon spent a lot of time organising and decorating the shop for Halloween! And it looks incredible! The best it has looked since I have worked here! Sharon will be leaving us soon to join the Royal Mail team, where she will be booking parcels for online orders. I’m thrilled to announce that Sharon is expecting her first child! Many of the regulars will already know this but others will not so I hope everyone reading will congratulate her and maybe have a glass of whisky to celebrate for her! She will be leaving us around the New Year for her maternity leave so you will all see some newer faces in the shop as we are having a shuffle behind the scenes to cover her. You may notice that Courtney, Sarah, and Evie will be assisting you more frequently. Rest assured that Sharon and I have trained them to maintain the highest level of service for you. However, they are still in the learning phase, so we kindly ask for your patience.

Finally and most importantly, who has been in the shop? We have had plenty of customers purchasing a vast array of products. It was only yesterday that a regular customer purchased a Vauen Auenland pipe for his mother’s birthday. He explained that she had a rustic shed where she displays her pipes which matches that style, so that was the perfect pipe! We also had a regular, Tony come in numerous times. He is always an entertaining customer as sometimes he can’t choose between a few cigars, so I always get the final decision and wait until next time to see if he is happy with it.

So that’s three weeks’ worth of what is going on in the Norfolk store condensed down but I hope to see you all again soon and I will be back with my regular weekly updates.

So long for now,
Oliver

Hi everyone! Another great week has passed as many customers came in to get their favourite cigars and try our latest releases.

On Monday we were busy with plenty of online orders to be picked which took us most of the day, despite the weather going a little bit cooler and windy (at least here in Norfolk it is), plenty of people are still enjoying their favourite smokes. In the store we had a lovely gentleman who wanted to purchase his first pipe – In this situation, we tend to suggest getting a less expensive pipe as you may not enjoy it but you haven’t lost out too much. I tend to suggest Parker pipes as they are a low-budget but well-made pipe. Once he had chosen his pipe, we talked about different tobacco. I always suggest American Blends as it isn’t the strongest, is full of flavour and smells great! He chose the C&V Blend which is Cherry and Vanilla flavoured, I hope he enjoyed it and we will see him again.

On Tuesday I began work on my latest article all about My Father Cigars and I didn’t realise the history behind them despite the brand only being official since 2003! I spent the day researching, writing and then taking pictures, you can read the article here. In the meantime we had a regular who likes to purchase plenty of cigars, he treated himself to some Davidoff Escurios and wanted something different, so I suggested the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Sobremesa Brulee Robusto as it was new and had huge fanfare! He also purchased the amazing Colibri Quantum Triple Flame Lighter, an unbelievably reliable lighter with a built-in cutter!

On Wednesday I finished all of our shop’s newsletters ready to send out to their local supporters, I always find it interesting to see what our other shops are up to and they sound so fascinating! Sharon and I also spent some time with our newest recruit Robyn. She has recently started part-time working in our packing team but she will be learning the shop aspect too to give us a helping hand now and then. It is always hard learning retail especially in the cigar industry with many strengths and flavour notes to remember but I’m sure she will learn it very fast.

On Thursday, a customer came in wanting to buy a bottle of our Stalla Dhu range as a gift for his father’s birthday. He was unsure which one to get, so he ended up purchasing two 3x5cl gift sets. A great idea and a way to find out his father’s favourite. I also spent most of my day with our humidor supervisor Billy counting the New World humidor stock and again I think we did it in record time! It seemed like a breeze and even left me enough time to write another article and news piece about the new Puffin rooms in Edinburgh! Have you heard about it yet? It sounds truly amazing! Click here to read all about it.

On Friday I put the finishing touches on my shop newsletters and spent a bit more time with Robyn helping her with her cigar knowledge. In the afternoon it was the weekly Cuban stock take with Sharon.
I hope you have enjoyed this week’s goings-on and I hope to see you all in Norfolk soon.

So long for now,
Olly 🙂

Hi Everyone, another busy week has gone by and I have been kept on my toes with some interesting customers.

Monday was the usual with plenty of online orders keeping myself and Sharon busy for most of the day. I have noticed recently that the Dunbarton cigars are extremely popular with many of our online customers, we have been getting through boxes like there’s no tomorrow! Luckily we have plenty of stock to keep everyone happy! In the afternoon  I began researching for my upcoming article in the C.Gars cigar library. After careful consideration, I chose to focus on Rocky Patel, a fascinating individual with a wealth of information to share. As it turns out, my instincts were spot on!

On Tuesday after my order pickings, I took and edited some pictures to accompany my Rocky Patel article and began writing. By the afternoon I finished writing my article which you can read here. I had a nice gentleman come in who wanted a very special cigar for a big event. I suggested a Davidoff Limited Edition Nicaragua 10th Anniversary Gran Toro as it contains many different flavours and is a new release from Davidoff which means they may not be around for long. We also had a gentleman who had been to our store in Tenerife, unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to go out there but he reassured me that it was a beautiful store with an amazing sampling lounge.

On Thursday myself and Billy had to do a stock take on our New World cigars. This is a very difficult task and is only getting harder with many new cigar brands coming in almost daily! Like Chateau Diadem Conviction, a beautiful-looking cigar in a stunning box. They have been very popular since we started stocking them, with many customers coming back for more! Afterwards, I served a group of gentlemen who were having a get-together this weekend and wanted a few cigars to go with them. One of them had been in before but the rest didn’t so needed a lot of guidance which I’m happy to oblige. In the end, they all had a Regius Serie Limitada and decided to sample our award-winning Stalla Dhu Whiskies, they decided on the new Glen Elgin 11-Year-Old Madeira Finish Cask Strength.

Friday morning we had Ben learning how to serve customers in the shop. He began by doing my online order pickings which he picked up extremely well. Once they were done, Sharon taught him how to serve our customers and even had him shadow us when we were with them. While Sharon was teaching Ben I created September’s New World Cigar Subscription and it is a good one! I have also included a little gift which I’m sure will hit the mark ;).

In the afternoon I and Sharon did our usual Cuban stock take, however, we have a new arrival of the Montecristo Wide Edmundo! The brand now has its fourth cigar named Edmundo, succeeding the original launched in 2004.

On Saturday I was joined in the shop with Sarah and Evie, together we did all of the Saturday pickings and then had the daunting task of checking all of the pricing of the pipes in our pipe room! If you have never been to the Norfolk shop (why haven’t you?), you won’t have seen the amount of pipes we have out on display, there are loads out for you to see and even more in their boxes on shelves! It really is like the wand shop from Harry Potter!

Once we completed that we had a well earned cup of coffee and carried on picking our orders.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks goings on and I hope to see you all in the Norfolk shop soon!

So long for now

Oliver

Hello everyone, it has been a busy week here in Norfolk. We have had a lot of customers visiting us, and we also have a variety of new cigars available.

On Monday it was a particularly busy day both in-store and online, with several orders coming my way. I was managing the store on my own that day, so I requested assistance from Lisa and Shanel to help me with fulfilling my orders. Working together, we managed to complete them with time to spare

I also had my regular customers coming in to get their usual cigars, later in the afternoon I had one gentleman come in who was celebrating and wanted to treat himself to a nice whisky to add to his collection. After much thinking, he decided to purchase three different Glenglassaugh expressions – The 12-year-old, Portsoy and Sandend. He had never tried any of them before so decided to go head first and try three different ones.

Sharon was back with me on Tuesday and so it was much calmer. After my morning pickings, I started researching for my next article, I thought back to the day prior with the gentleman who bought three bottles and it made me wonder if whisky could go off. I know you can keep an unopened bottle for many years but one that has been opened I wasn’t so sure. In between my research, I noticed we had yet more cigars come in!

It seems like every week we have a new brand come available, this time it was new releases from Caldwell – The King is Dead – they are available in 3 different vitolas: Manzanita which is a Petit Corona, The Last Payday which is a Torpedo and Premier which is a Robusto. All of these are available in-store and online with an introductory offer so get yours here.

On Wednesday I was without Sharon for the morning so again I enlisted the help of Lisa to help me with picking, which she did brilliantly! For the rest of the day, I finished all of the shop’s newsletters ready for them all to go out to our loyal subscribers.

On Thursday after picking orders me and Sharon re-arranged the humidors to incorporate our new stock and I have to say it looks much smarter now. We also had a gentleman who wanted some cigars for his stag party so I suggested a box of Mitchellero Robusto – A great size cigar for a great price with amazing flavours!

It’s Friday! And after my usual pickings, I spent the rest of my time writing my article about whisky going off which you can read here. In the afternoon me and Sharon had our usual Cuban stock take which seems to be effortless these days!

I hope you enjoy what’s going on in our Norfolk store and I hope you can all stop by soon!

So long for now,

Oliver 🙂

Hi everyone! This week has been a little bit different than usual and quite interesting to say the least.

On Monday as well as the usual high number of online order pickings to do, me and Sharon helped the packing team as we were a member down for the day – We managed to get all online orders picked and even between us helped to pack over 100 packages! It was a nice change to work with the packing team and be able to lend a hand.

First thing Tuesday morning, I walked into the packing department ready to help out again and there were no orders left – Just goes to show how great of a team we really are! So once I finished my pickings I made a start on my monthly shop newsletters, even though they are a new job to me, I am enjoying them and feel confident working on them. In between newsletters I have also finished writing and taking pictures for my latest article about Cedar in the cigar industry, it’s an interesting read – check it out here. We had one of our regulars come in who was looking for a nice bottle of whisky for his father – He took advantage of our sale on the Macallan A Night on Earth, which has been reduced from £249 to just £99.99! A real bargain and if you know Macallan whisky you know it will be a good one – and if you don’t know Macallan it’s the perfect time to be introduced!

On Thursday it was mine and Billy’s fortnightly stock take of the New World humidor, this one was interesting as we have had a lot of new cigars come in since our last one and we kept getting side tracked by looking at all of these new ranges we have to offer. I’m particularly interested in the Silencio range as they are a range that you can get in the U.S too! We really knuckled down and with the help of Sharon (who also served all customers that day to let us get on) we completed it by 2pm! After the stock take I started taking photos for more newsletters. Due to being busy with stock take, Sharon served all of our customers.

Friday came along so quickly! After my morning pickings we had Ben come to learn how to work in the shop, he currently works on deliveries and our pipe tobacco samplers but he wants to broaden his work load and both me and Sharon are happy to train anyone. Ben also works on Saturdays but he’s always been working behind the scenes, doing the behind the scenes work, so you’ll soon see Ben in the shop, come on in and say hello! Later on in the day I had a gentleman who purchased all of our Davidoff Escurio range! As well as a box of Mitchellero Novellini! They have been really popular as we sold 3 boxes today! In the afternoon me and Sharon completed our usual Cuban stock take.

On Saturday I had the company of Evie, who helped out with pickings and doing some customer care with our Customer care manager Hayley. I used this day to stock up shelves fully and train up Ben and Evie with dealing with customers in store.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks blog

So long for now

Oliver 🙂

Hi everyone, another busy and joyous week here in Norfolk! Some of our regulars have come in numerous times enjoying the lovely weather with their cigars. Sharon was off on her holiday all week, so everyone has had the privilege of being served by myself.

Monday was a challenging day as I came in to a mountain of online orders to be picked! I didn’t think I would get it done but with the help of our amazing team, they helped me get them all picked with time to spare which was amazing and I certainly appreciated it. I also had a group of gentlemen who were relatively new to cigars and wanted to try something new, I suggested the Regius Serie Limitada as they tend to be sweeter than your average cigar. Whilst looking around the humidor they spotted the Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan 2023 – being new to cigars they had never seen a barber pole cigar before so I explained about how the wrappers intertwine creating some incredible flavours that you don’t find in your typical cigar! They were interested but alas they tried the Regius this time but who knows – when they come back they may give it a go!

Tuesday was much calmer for me with online orders (thankfully). Still plenty of orders to pick but I was able to manage it. Also one of our regulars, Tony came in to treat himself to an after work cigar! He gave me his budget and said choose anything for him (always a favourite request of mine). I treated him to a Charter Oak Lonsdale as we have been doing a lot of training on the Foundation Cigars brand and it’s only fair that he gets to try them too! I can’t wait to see what he thinks as they are incredible cigars. I also created an article which was sent to me from Raluca who is the manager of out Liverpool store, you can read that here.

Thursday was another busy day with online orders, in the middle of my pickings Tony came in again! He has recently been trying the Rocky Patel portfolio and really enjoying all of them, he has said his favourite so far is the beautiful Sixty Robusto but this time he just purchased a Mitchellero Peru Robusto Extra as well as a Boveda pack which is something I had suggested to him to begin with. Boveda packs are so easy to use and are much better than using a humidification solution, I would really suggest it to anyone who has a humidor. I also started creating the leaflets for the August cigar subscription, this one is an incredible box filled with the perfect cigars for summer. Make sure you get yours here!

Friday began with a massive amount of online orders to be picked! I have noticed with the weather being nicer our customers are treating themselves to larger cigars and one of the most popular is the Charatan Churchill. A lovely light to medium cigar with notes of rich earthiness and subtle spice – great for a summer’s day. At around midday I had another set of my newly regular customers come in, both are discovering the world of cigars and can’t get enough! One of the gentlemen enjoyed the Alec Bradley Orchant seleccion so much that he keeps coming back for more! But he also wanted something a bit different so he went for the Regius Connecticut Corona which is a nice smooth cigar but with enough complexity to make it enjoyable. The other gentleman with him also treated himself to a Cigarism Jet Flame Lighter with a Punch cut. As you all know I can’t get enough of Cigarism products and our customers are getting there too.

On Saturday I had Courtney in the shop with me and Evie. Courtney is getting a lot better with our customers and getting to the point where I can trust her alone in the shop. Evie is still in training so I spent some time with her teaching her about New World cigars and the different flavour notes you get from different countries and regions. Evie has been tasked to create content for the C.Gars TikTok page so get over there when you can to see what she has created.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks goings on and I hope to see you all again soon.

So long for now

Oliver

Hi everyone, I hope you’ve all had a lovely week! The sun is shining and it’s hot outside but rest assured it’s lovely and cool in our air conditioned shop so it is always a comfortable visit.

Monday was very busy for us online and in store, it took me most of the day to do my online pickings! I also served a lovely elderly couple who were visiting the Norfolk Broads on their holiday, I was warned by the lady that her husband might take a while to choose a pipe from our massive pipe room. Whilst he was looking around the room, the lady was telling me about Great Yarmouth back when she was younger and how beautiful it is here (which is another reason to visit us). In the end he couldn’t decide between four… so he bought all four! I have never sold so many pipes in one transaction! They also bought a lovely pipe stand to store all of his pipes and some Kendal KBC to enjoy in his new pipes. They were in our store for around an hour and I really enjoyed talking to them both! Hopefully I will see them again. Another one of my regulars came in, who is usually a Cuban cigar smoker however he enjoyed our Mitchellero Peru range with his friends that much, that he popped in to purchase another box of Mitchellero Peru Novellini. I also finished writing my latest article about Glenmorangie whisky which you can read here.

I had two days of annual leave to enjoy a little rest and be refreshed for Thursday.

On Thursday I had a great gentleman who treated himself to some Cuban cigars for his holiday in Spain, a couple of Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure no. 2 as well as a H.Upmann Connoisseur A. As I was putting his cigars through the till he spotted a bottle of Hennessey VSOP Cognac and couldn’t resist treating himself! Later on that afternoon we had cigar training from the supplier of Foundation Cigars. They had so much knowledge about the product, you could really feel their passion for cigars and even the history! There was no question that they couldn’t answer. We learned a lot from that session and really appreciate them coming to see us!

On Friday after the usual pickings, I started organising the August New World Subscription and it is another incredible box chosen by myself, these cigars are perfect to enjoy in the sun! I also finished off all of the shop newsletters which get sent once a month and it seems like July is an exciting month in all shops so make sure you visit as soon as you can!

On Saturday, we were joined by Evie as she continues to learn her new role here. As many of you know, learning cigars and pipes can be a lot to take in but she is doing very well. We also had one of our regulars, Tony, come into the shop and he couldn’t decide between something new or something he knew he liked… I swiftly suggested something new so he chose the Rocky Patel Number 6 Corona which was in the top 10 cigars of Cigar Aficionado in 2020.

I hope you enjoy reading about my week and if you ever feel like you need to contact me just email me at [email protected]

So long for now

Hello everyone! The sun is shining bright which means one thing… Sitting outside in the sun enjoying our favourite cigars, I decided to treat myself to the Gurkha Ghost Gold Shadow Robusto! I had never tried a Gurkha before as the brand seems to have its haters as well as their lovers, so I thought I’d give it a try…. A brilliant cigar with plenty of chocolatey notes as well as spices, you should try it.

On Saturday last week I had our new weekend worker with us, her name is Evie and you will see her every Saturday in our Norfolk store. I was teaching her how to pick our online orders as well as the retail side of things. I think I blew her away with my knowledge of cigars as she certainly seemed tired by the afternoon but I’d like to think she took it all in.

Monday began with the usual heaping amounts of pickings and I was certainly worn out afterwards, but I soldiered on and completed writing an article all about Falcon pipes and how unique they are! You can read that here. We also had plenty of customers purchasing their smokes for the week, it seems that with the sun coming out, everyone has time to smoke a Toro sized cigar, including one gentleman who treated himself to a box of Plasencia Orchant Seleccion Toro. I also had another gentleman who loves his Cuban cigars, however he wanted to try something new, so he went away with a Mitchellero Peru sampler. The same gentleman came back 2 hours later to purchase a box of the Novellini – he loved them that much!

Tuesday was a bit different for myself, after the usual pickings I started to learn how to make newsletters and I am now in charge of each store’s newsletter going out to our customers! It’s just a way to let you all know what’s going on in store, what cigars/spirit/accessories we recommend for the month and more! I’m very happy to be able to do more for this company and expand my own knowledge too! I also helped out Sharon with photography and editing, it’s always difficult doing something outside of your comfort zone but if you push yourself and are willing to do it then the only way is up!

Wednesday was a very busy day online and in store! I had a lovely couple come in who were on their holiday. The lady wanted to treat her husband to a new humidor for their wedding anniversary present, so they decided on the Adorini Torino Black Deluxe Cigar Humidor as the slick design and matte black colour was particularly eye-catching. After deciding on a humidor they went into our walk-in humidor to fill it up with. The gentleman treated himself to some beautiful Cohibas and Hoyo de Monterrey, as they had not been to our shop before I recommended a Mitchellero for him to try as they are exclusive to us so he would never have tried it before, he purchased two and were on their way. Later on in the day another gentleman came in and treated himself to a vast array of Cuban cigars as well as a box of 10 Partagas Serie D No. 4. He was very happy to say the least! Towards the end of the day we had a customer contact our customer care team to see if we had a box of Regius Media Coronas. This is a clever thing to do as a lot of the time in store we have singles available but not a whole box so I would definitely suggest calling ahead of time to avoid disappointment! As well as his box of cigars he tried our Beginners Pipe Tobacco and Accessories Lucky Dip Sampler.

Thursday was a busy day with online customers getting their last minute Fathers day gifts, so myself and Sharon were extra busy! However once we completed those pickings, I continued with my shop newsletters and taking some pictures for them to help out. I served a lovely couple of ladies who wanted to get a nice cigar for their father as he doesn’t smoke them often but they know he loves them, they decided on the Mitchellero Peru Robusto Extra, as the price was incredible and taste notes sounded “yummy” as they put it. As it was their first visit to the shop they were amazed with the options we had and said they’ll definitely be back!

On Friday once the picking had been completed, I took some more pictures for our marketing team, and then in the afternoon it was the usual Cuban stock take.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks going’s on and as always if you need anything or just fancy a chat feel free to email me – [email protected]

So long for now

Hi everyone, I hope you enjoyed your bank holiday weekend! We were still open 12-5 to help you with your cigar needs and it was great to see some familiar faces as well as some holiday makers.

On bank holiday Monday I get the privilege of printing the orders and having to pick them all myself instead of having the usual team in. It is a tough task but someone has to do it, so I spend all day picking as many orders as I can. Meanwhile I had lovely customers come into the shop too – one gentleman brought his family to buy pretty much everything! They were on holiday here so it was their first visit to the shop but are regulars on the website. After purchasing some pipe tobacco and some Mitchellero Perus, they spent some time looking around our pipe room and were completely mesmerised by the amount we had! We also had one of our favourite customers come in the day before his birthday to treat himself to a birthday treat. I got to have the privilege of choosing him a gift on behalf of his partner and I treated him to the unbelievable Oliva Orchant Seleccion Skinny! A very popular cigar and I knew he hadn’t tried it so I hope he enjoyed it and Happy Birthday! I spent the rest of the day running around picking as many orders as I could ready for our packing team to go full throttle on Tuesday to get your orders out to you!

Tuesday was a great day in store with many customers coming to see us. It seemed like everyone wanted to try the Mitchellero Peru cigars and we were more than happy to oblige. We had one gentleman purchase himself a box of 10 Montecristo no. 4 as purchasing 10 worked out cheaper than buying singles. He also treated himself to some Mitchelleros and a bottle of our own Stalla Dhu Islay, A beautiful whisky and one of my favourites too.

I also helped out our packing team with packaging up the online orders. When I first started working at Turmeaus I started in the packing team and at one point set the record for the most packed in one day! So going back there was like a blast from the past, I’d like to think I helped them keep up with the orders.

On Wednesday our regular came in to spend his birthday money, he treated himself to many brilliant cigars including the tasty selection sampler – a great selection at a low price. He also mentioned that he liked the Oliva cigar that I suggested which gave me a sigh of relief. I also finished this week’s article about the new range of Zino cigars which you can read here

Thursday we had plenty of online orders to keep us busy as well as customers in the shop. It felt like me and Sharon didn’t stop! We had many customers wanting to try out the new Mitchellero Perus! So much so that we’ve had to order some more in just to keep up with demand! I was also working on our Cigar Library to make it more mobile friendly so hopefully you all will be seeing the effects of this now.

On Friday there was plenty more online orders to be picked, it seems like now the sun is out more and more people are enjoying their smokes. I also finalised the leaflets for July’s cigar subscription and this month I was a little cheeky and used a cigar which is currently unavailable to purchase as a single, this means my subscribers will get to try something they haven’t had before which is the beauty of cigar subscriptions. In the afternoon Me and Sharon did the traditional Cuban stock take.

Hope you have enjoyed reading this week’s blog. Come and see me in the store soon!

So long for now
