Quorum Shade Grown Tres Petite Corona Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Saturday 23 March, 2024
For me the shade grown series are my favourite Quorum cigars. I particularly like the tres petit corona because it is slow burning and can last nearly as long as the corona making it very good value. The cigar has decent combustion and burns fairly evenly. Flavour-wise there isn't a lot going on but they are still a satisfying mellow smoke and make a nice change to Cuban cigars. Overall I would definitely recommend this cigar.

I appreciate that this is a budget cigar, so wasn't expecting the world. However the draw was far too loose for my liking and it just felt a bit odd smoking it. The dry draw was lovely and sweet but it didn't really come alive until the final third. At that point it became nice and smoky and full of flavour. Just a shame I had to smoke 2/3s of it to get there.

Quorum Classic Tres Petit Corona Cigar - Pack of 10
Date Added: Monday 04 March, 2024
In the last third the wrapper stated to unravel ever so slightly. This cigar put a smile on my face and was relaxing and flavoursome. What I tasted was, cedar/wood, sweetness, earthiness and spice on the retro hale as tasting notes. Lovely stick.

I tried one of these gifted by a fellow cigar smoking friend as a recommendation at what we laughingly refer to as the budget end of the market. Not bad at all for what it is, well put together with mellow flavours, nothing too complicated, pleasant enough. I discussed further with another friend across the pond and he spat out his coffee, you can get get the them for around $2 over there! Why are UK prices so usurious? :-(

Quintero Favoritos Cigar - 1 Single
Date Added: Thursday 19 October, 2023
This is a budget Cuban cigar that comes at a very affordable price, it is unbeatable. The construction is not bad despite the poor looks. It burns fine, but needed some corrections. The ash is light grey and stable, it fell only at the end of the second third. It gives a good amount of smoke and the draw is easy. On the first third, I got vegetal, leather, and earthy notes. On the second third, I felt a bit of creaminess and sweetness. The last third provides a lot of creamy and toasty notes and the sweetness is more pronounced. To be honest, the quality varies from 1 cigar to another, but overall this is not a bad smoke. I enjoyed it so I recommend it for those that want to try a Cuban without breaking the wallet.

Really poor build for this, which surprised me as it?s JC Newman and I always find their cigars to be well constructed. Punch cut cracked the foot and left the wrapper unravelling. This only got worse as the smoke when on. Taste wise it was nice, the burn and the ash were perfect but ruined but the foot just disintegrating - shame really. Probably won?t buy this again.
