DREW ESTATE

The Drew Estate story is one of daring, heartbreak & success but, most of all, one of passion for cigars and the country of Nicaragua, where we have been making cigars since 1996.

Jonathan Drew & Marvin Samel are not your average cigar makers, their story does not start in Cuba, or with fathers in the cigar business. It started with a dream, and through their can-do spirit and never-say-die attitude made Drew Estate one of the premier cigar manufacturers on the planet. The two frat brothers from New York started out small…. Small, as in a 16 square foot retail kiosk in the World Trade Center in NYC.

In late 1998, Jonathan Drew moved to Esteli, Nicaragua with the hopes of starting a rebirth in the cigar world. With a handful of rollers and an even smaller handful of money, the story of “That Crazy Gringo” began.

ACID

The ACID smoking experience is like no other, the smooth smoke which is delivered by this stick will satisfy your craving for something truly one-of-a-kind, unique and inspiring.

Each of the ACID cigars has been cured for months and months to truly develop the essential oils which make the brand something special. Handmade in Nicaragua with long fillers to give you a slow-burning smoke.

Acid Kuba Kuba features a delicious Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos, infused with a secret blend of herbs and botanicals known only to Drew Estate employees.

Expect a flawless burn and draw on every handmade stick, along with a truly unique flavour profile that will leave you smacking your lips long after the smoke has gone!!!

Build quality left a lot to be desired here, half the wrapper was cracked and flaking, and I had to keep adjusting the burn as a result. But don't let that put you off! The flavour is certainly unconventional, but it was an enjoyable experience which I may be inclined to repeat soon. A sweet and smooth smoke that hits the spot.

Really different n I would recommend for anyone new n old to cigar smoking to give it a go. Will purchase a few more soon.

Starts off very sweet almost artificial. This calms down after a couple of puffs but still retains a sweet very mild flavour throughout with no development. Floral and herbal notes are predominant with no spice or bitterness at all. Construction is excellent, burns well with plumes of smoke a couple of touch ups required but nothing major. Definitely good to try if you want something a bit different. This doesn’t taste like a traditional cigar which, although expected, will be the reason I wouldn’t rush to purchase again.

Was sent this as a sub for the smaller Atom which was good of Cgars. A quality stick, construction very good as youd expect from a DE, a sweet taste on the wrapper but not so much in the smoke, just got the usual tobacco flavours after a while.

I personally don’t get it. I smoke cigars because I love how the great ones tell a story from one third to the next, how you can find a stare of sheer bliss and relaxation whilst smoking. How they can give you the same appreciation of a great meal at a top restaurant or an amazing scotch. I bought my dad a bottle of 1963 fonseca vintage port for his birthday about 10 years ago. He wanted to wait for an occasion when my brother was home to drink it. So that Christmas he opened and decanted it and we all had a glass. His wife went to the kitchen and put effing lemonade in it. That is what the acid cigars are. You cannot judge the tobacco or flavour changes, retrohaling is like snorting wash powder and they give me heartburn too. If they were cheap it would be one thing, but the point of fine cigars is the tobacco, if you are going to mask those flavours it needs to enhance the experience. I cannot see how these cigars are enhanced by putting powders in them. I got 5 different acid cigars. I didn’t enjoy any of them
